Who knew, today is Tu B’Shvat or the 15th of Shevat, literally the “New Year for the Trees”. From my perspective this is a day of awakening as a tree represents a person symbolically. We are stepping out of the dormancy of winter, breathe in some fresh air and take in some fruit, reference Deut. 8:8, if your Bible says dates eat some honey instead as that is the literal meaning. When taking a spoonful of honey let that be a spiritual quickening for the time we are about to enter. Giving the stamina and insight to be correctly guided through this next season. By the way, nothing against dates eat them if you have them.
This week is a 5th Sabbath, you all get a break from me. I’m studying one mechanic in this 2-week period, the meaning of a double raised Nun. Look forward to sharing the findings with you.
